

This year's Uechi-Ryu Coupe De France 2018 is announced and will take place on Saturday, 2nd of June at the Palais omnisports Pierre Dupres (18/20 rue de la Digue, Berges de Seine, 78600 Maisons-Laffitte). This cup is one of the most successful Uechi-Ryu tournaments in Europe and is organized every year by the French Shubukan Uechi-Ryu Organization under the auspices of the French Karate Federation. There will be Kata and Kumite divisions, for men and women, and, for seniors and young competitors.
On the day after the tournament (Sunday, 3rd of June) there will be a seminar with Seisuke Adaniya (8Dan - Shorin-Ryu) and Yukinobu Shimabukuro (8Dan - Uechi-Ryu). The seminar will take place in the same facilities of Palais omnisports Pierre Dupres from 9:30 up to 12:30 in the morning and is open to practitioners of all Karate styles. The participation fee is 25 euro for non-members of Uechi-Ryu Shubukan and 15 euro for the members.

One more seminar led by Yukinobu Shimabukuro Sensei (8 Dan) is organized on Saturday, the 17th, and Sunday, the 18th of February 2018. Didier Lorho Sensei (5 Dan) will be the assistant instructor and the event will take place at the
Yasushi Kuno Sensei will lead a seminar in Valencia, Spain this July. The event is organized in the 14th and 15th of July, 2018, by International Uechi-Ryu Shubukai - Valencia Shubukan Dojo in collaboration with Club de Karate Kyusho de Vinalesa. 
Three, highly-ranked, instructors from Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate are visiting the capital of Russia, Moscow, this April. The instructors are invited by Rybin Evgeny Sensei (4 Dan), head of Okikukai Russia. Yamashiro Hirokuni (9 Dan), Kyuna Susumu (7 Dan) and Kina Minoru (7 Dan) will lead the 2-day seminar.
