Uechi Ryu Karate-Do Events and News in Europe and the world - Seminars, Tournaments Karate - Traditional Martial Arts

This year's Uechi-Ryu Coupe De France 2018 is announced and will take place on Saturday, 2nd of June at the Palais omnisports Pierre Dupres (18/20 rue de la Digue, Berges de Seine, 78600 Maisons-Laffitte). This cup is one of the most successful Uechi-Ryu tournaments in Europe and is organized every year by the French Shubukan Uechi-Ryu Organization under the auspices of the French Karate Federation. There will be Kata and Kumite divisions, for men and women, and, for seniors and young competitors. 

On the day after the tournament (Sunday, 3rd of June) there will be a seminar with Seisuke Adaniya (8Dan - Shorin-Ryu) and Yukinobu Shimabukuro (8Dan - Uechi-Ryu). The seminar will take place in the same facilities of Palais omnisports Pierre Dupres from 9:30 up to 12:30 in the morning and is open to practitioners of all Karate styles. The participation fee is 25 euro for non-members of Uechi-Ryu Shubukan and 15 euro for the members.

One more seminar led by Yukinobu Shimabukuro Sensei (8 Dan) is organized on Saturday, the 17th, and Sunday, the 18th of February 2018. Didier Lorho Sensei (5 Dan) will be the assistant instructor and the event will take place at the Gymnase les Pierres Vives (1 rue des Alouettes, 78420, Carrieres-sur-Seine, France). The training on Saturday will start at 15:00 till 18:00 and on Sunday from 9:30 till 12:00. The participation fee is 20eur for the members of URKDE and 30eur for non-members. Yasushi Kuno Sensei will lead a seminar in Valencia, Spain this July. The event is organized in the 14th and 15th of July, 2018, by International Uechi-Ryu Shubukai - Valencia Shubukan Dojo in collaboration with Club de Karate Kyusho de Vinalesa.

A great Karate & Kobudo seminar with a 10-member delegation from Okinawa prefecture is being organized on the 20th and 21st of January 2018 in Munich. The event will take place in Grandlstraße 5a (sports hall of the secondary school at Blutenburg). Participants should be over 16 years and over 6th Kyu. The course fee for both days is 25,00 Euro (payment to be made in advance by bank transfer).

The training schedule is:

- Saturday, 20/01/2018 from 08:00 to 17:00 (including breaks) Karate and Kobudo demonstrations will take place from 15:30 till 16:30.

Three, highly-ranked, instructors from Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate are visiting the capital of Russia, Moscow, this April. The instructors are invited by Rybin Evgeny Sensei (4 Dan), head of Okikukai Russia. Yamashiro Hirokuni (9 Dan), Kyuna Susumu (7 Dan) and Kina Minoru (7 Dan) will lead the 2-day seminar.
