Uechi Ryu Karate-Do Events and News in Europe and the world - Seminars, Tournaments Karate - Traditional Martial Arts

Open invitation to seminar on Shohei Ryu/Uechi Ryu Karate,  in Moscow under the leadership of Chairman and Chief Instructor of Okikukai Serbia Hombu Vladimir Popovic Reshi 7 Dan.

This 2-day seminar will cover the following topics:
- Hojo Undo - training complex methods of attack and defense (hands and feet) consisting of: uke and geri waza and tsuki uke / uchi waza zentan ken.
- Kata - Sanchin Kanshiwa, Kanshi, Seichin, Seisan, Seiryu, Kanchin, Sanseyryu
- Sanchin - Kitae - complex technical activities aimed at checking Sanchin kata by strikes in certain areas of the partner's body.
- Yakusoku kumite - Okikukai yakusoku kumite is pre-arranged sequences of attack and defence between two partners. It prepares students for free sparring (Jiu kumite) and teaches the basic elements of attack and defense.
- Kitae Tau - stuffing the limbs and body. In our style, emphasis is on stuffing the body, it is believed that the fighter in the style of Uechi Ryu must be able to accept hits without much difficulty.

Bunkai Kumite Kanshiwa kata, Seisan, Sanseyryu - Analysis and decoding techniques of attack and defense of techniques combinations in Kanshiwa, combative use of formal complex (kata) with a partner.
Jiu kumite - free sparring, real combat training.

Sport Kumite seminar is organized by Angel Arenas dedicated to Sensei Takemi Takayasu. The idea was given by Raphael and Vincent Perez. During the seminar sports kumite techniques and the new WKF rules will be analyzed. Number of participants in the course is limited and will be reserved by order of registration.

"5th Uechi Ryu World Cup for Peace"

The last World Cup was in 2012 in Argentina with 12 countries participating, now the 5th World Cup will be in Miami Florida United States from Junes 9th until June 16th organized by Sensei Gustavo Gondra & hosted by Sensei Facundo Gallero 5* Degree Black Belt Uechi Ryu Karate Do, the 6 World Cup will be in Cali city Colombia, hosted by Sensei Jorge Chamorro Molineros 6 Degree Black Belt Uechi Ryu Karate Do.

This event will be open to all Schools of Traditional Uechi Ryu Karate-Do, Shohei Ryu, Okinawan and Japanese lines. The overall organization of the Championship is in charge of Uechi Ryu World Cup Organization.

We will use Traditional Shobu-San-Bon for Adults Male and Traditional Shobu-Nihon for Children’s and Female, the Rules regulations will be complete at the Web Site: www.uechiryuworldcup.org

Stage of Uechi-Ryu karate will be organized on Thursday, 19th of April 2015 in France. The event will be run by Sensei Yukinobu Shimabukuro (8Dan) with the assistance of  Sensei Didier Lorho (5Dan). The place is Gymnase "Les Pierres Vives", Rue des Alouttes, 78420 Carrieres sur Seine, France. Event starts at 9:30 till 12:00 and the price is 10Euros for affilated members and 15Eur for non members.
