A great event took place last Saturday, 17th of October in Belgrade Serbia at Sumice Sports Cener. Sensei Popovic Vladimir, head of Serbia Okikukai with the cooperation of the OKIKUKAI Sanchin Dojo (Belgrade) and OKIKUKAI Novi Sad Dojo, OKIKUKAI Kisić Dojo and Dojos of Kragujevac, Prokuplje, Pecinci and Lebane organized the 1st Memorial for Takamiyagi Shigeru Sensei's passing last year. Sensei Takamiyagi was one of the supreme advisors of Serbian Okikukai, in the past had visited the country serveral times for seminars, teaching and spreading Uechi-Ryu. He has been a mentor to many Uechi-Ryu practitioners in Balkan and European area and will be greatly missed.

Sensei Yamashiro Hirokuni, Kyoshi 8Dan of Okikukai is on seminars tour in the Balkan area and Russia. Yamashiro Sensei has so far visited Croatia for 3 days (25th to 27th of September), Serbia for 1 day (27th of September) and his next stop is in Russia for 2 days (3rd to 4th of October). Croatia seminar was organized and hosted by Karate Klub Karlovac and Karate Klub Uechi Ryu Rijeka and Sensei Daniel Bjelivuk - Shihan 5Dan (
The Cup de France Uechi-ryu 2015 (Uechi-Ryu French Cup) was held in the 6th of June 2015 at Maisons-Laffitte.

The Italian Federation of Karate organizes the 8th National Karate Seminar. In this seminar participants who either practice or wish to to start practicing Karate-do, have the chance to get familiar with various styles and train under the guidance of many top-level Senseis. This is an exceptional idea of FIK (FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA KARATE) towards spreading Karate-do, bringing Karate people together and attracting new practitioners. Sensei Zilioli head of the Okikukai Italia will represent Shohei-Ryu/Uechi-Ryu and will offer participants the chance to get an introduction to traditional Karate of Okinawa and the basics of Uechi-Ryu. The event will take place in Roseto degli Abruzzi from 1st till 4th of October 2015.
