In the period from 21 to 22/05/2016 OKIKUKAI CROATIA (Uechi Ryu dojo RIVER KARLOVAC Dojo) organized a seminar of traditional Okinawan Karate Uechi Ryu in Rijeka, led by Vladimir Popovic Sensei (7. Dan Kyoshi) and Tatjana Zakić Sensei (5. Dan Shihan).
Dan and Kyu testing were held on the 22nd of May 2016. Candidates for Dan grades who successfully passed the test are:
Dinko Cupic - 1. Dan, Berislav Bilic - 1. Dan, Filip Badurina - 1. Dan
and for Kyu ranks:
Adriano Škibola - 3.kyu.

Kenyukai 2016 is organized in Spain and its head instructor, Angel Arenas Sensei, this July. The event will be held from Monday, 11th of July, till Saturday 16th of July 2016.
The sessions will be held at Arenas Sport Center, with a 600 square meters tatami available. Training is open to all styles of Karate. Practitioners will have the chance to meet Uechi-Ryu Okinawan Karate style.

A great seminar is being organized by Okikukai Uechi-Ryu of Great Britain this September. A unique opportunity to train under three great Okinawan masters for every Karateka, either practicing Uechi-Ryu or not. This 4-day seminar will be led by Tsutomu Nakahodo Sensei (Hanshi, 10.Dan), Shinmatsu Okuhama Sensei (Hanshi, 9.Dan) and Hirokuni Yamashiro Sensei (Kyoshi, 8.Dan). The event will take place in Oxford, at Rosehill Community Centre from 15th up to 18th of September 2016. Organizing committee has done their best to offer several accommodation options, in a wide price range. Moreover, there is a fully detailed travel information booklet, which can be very helpful to anyone interested in the event. Overall, given the significance of the instructors leading this seminar, there has been a great job by the organizers, in order to be able to offer this special experience at a very convenient price.
