Summer seminar will be organized on Saturday 7th of June by Shogun Martial Arts School in Kent, UK. The seminar will be led by Sensei Terry Daly (Renshi 6th Dan), Sensei Lee Adams (Shihan 5th Dan Uechi Ryu, 3rd Dan Tomiki Aikido) and Sensei Dean Lowe Uechi-Ryu G.B. Training starts at 12 noon until 6 P.M. and the participation cost is £20.
Course content
- Kata Bunkai ,Competition Kumite workshop
- Tai Sabaki – avoidance and why it’s important
- Un Soku and tanduko undo – foot movement and hand/foot movement
- Understanding kuzushi
- Application of the above in Daiiti Yakosoku Kumite ( or your own association kumite exercise)
- Use of locks and takedowns and how to make them more effective
There is also one great seminar on 6th September and is a Kumite Workshop with Dr Wayne Otto O.B.E. Godan Uechi Ryu. More info on this seminar, poster and participation fees will be posted on a new article soon.
